Amtelco eConferenceLink Privacy Policy
Amtelco is committed to protecting your privacy. This privacy statement
explains the data collection and usage practices of the eConferenceLink service, an Amtelco owned and operated web site and conferencing
service. By using eConferenceLink, you consent to the information
collection and usage practices described in this privacy statement.
Collecting Business Information
Information provided by conference organizers, moderators and administrators
such as conference schedules, attendee lists, subject matter, and
the content of any presentations, whether live or pre-recorded,
visual and/or audio, and any content uploaded to Amtelco-operated
servers by conference organizers, moderators and administrators
(herein referred to as Business Information) is considered confidential
to the purchaser or cosponsor of the event or conference center
where such information was provided. Amtelco will not view Business
Information except as necessary to appropriately support the eConferenceLink service. Amtelco will use Business Information for the purpose
of service capacity planning; anticipating, diagnosing, supporting
or resolving any problems that might limit or disrupt the eConferenceLink service; and improving the quality of the service. Any Business
Information collected during a conference may be used to facilitate
debugging during development, or to debug customer escalations that
are being reproduced in real time.
Collecting Personal Information
Amtelco will collect your personal information if you choose to
register for or request information about the eConferenceLink service
and/or participate in a conference facilitated by the service. The
information Amtelco collects includes your name, postal address,
e-mail address, telephone number, facsimile number, company name,
job title, and information about your company as well as information
about the nature of your usage of the eConferenceLink service,
including the number of conference attendees, duration and frequency
of conferences, and the total number of conferences offered by you.
Furthermore, as part of the eConferenceLink service, Amtelco
collects and logs information generated from the consoles of meeting
participants including, but not limited to, which conference participants
viewed slides during a presentation, real-time chat sessions between
moderators and participants and between individual participants,
slide transitions, application screen sharing, web page sharing,
posting of comments, or requests for prints or downloads of presentations.
This information also may be shared with or viewed by other conference
participants. Amtelco also collects detailed polling results identified
at the user level and how each individual conference participant
voted during a poll. This information also is shared with the party
who is hosting or sponsoring the conference.
Amtelco may collect certain anonymous information about your visit,
such as the name of the Internet service provider (ISP) and the
Internet Protocol (IP) address through which you access the Internet
in order to use the eConferenceLink service; the date and time
you access the eConferenceLink web site; the pages that you access
while at the web site and the Internet address of the web site from
which you linked directly to the eConferenceLink web site. None
of this information is personally identifiable, though this anonymous
information may be used to help improve the eConferenceLink service,
analyze usage trends, and administer the eConferenceLink service.
Use of Personal Information
The personal information Amtelco collects will be used to provide
the service and/or carry out the transaction you have requested
or authorized. This may include using the personal information to:
- Provide you with important information about the eConferenceLink service, including critical updates and notifications;
- Allow third parties to provide enhanced services associated
with an eConferenceLink event;
- Improve the eConferenceLink service;
- Provide you with more effective customer service;
- Authenticate the user and the user’s rights to attend,
present or organize a specific web conference; and
- Send information about products, services, special promotions,
if requested by you
At no time does Amtelco retain or otherwise hire other companies
to provide limited services on its behalf, such as handling the
processing and delivery of mailings, providing customer support,
or performing statistical analysis of the eConferenceLink service.
Amtelco may access and/or disclose personal information if required
to do so by law or in the good-faith belief that such action is
necessary to: (a) conform to the edicts of the law or comply with
any and all legal process served on Amtelco or the eConferenceLink
web site; (b) protect and defend the rights of property of Amtelco
and its several web sites, or (c) act in urgent circumstances to
protect the personal safety of Amtelco employees, users of Amtelco
products and/or services, and members of the general public.
Personal information collected by the eConferenceLink service
and web site may be stored and processed in the United States or
in any other country in which Amtelco or its affiliates, subsidiaries
or agents maintain facilities, and by using the eConferenceLink
web site, you consent to any such transfer or information outside
of your country. Amtelco abides by the safe harbor framework as
set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce regarding the collection,
use, and retention of data from the European Union.
Control of Personal Information
Except as otherwise described in this privacy statement, personal
information you provide related to the eConferenceLink service
will not be shared outside of Amtelco and its controlled subsidiaries
and affiliates without your permission. With regard to personal
information from users of the eConferenceLink service that is collected
at registration (e.g. name, user ID, e-mail address, et cetera),
Amtelco presents an option not to receive communications regarding
the eConferenceLink service. Customers who no longer wish to receive
communications may opt-out or unsubscribe from receiving these communications.
Each communication will have a way to unsubscribe from that list.

Please be aware that this privacy statement and the choices you
make related to the eConferenceLink service will not necessarily
apply to personal information you may have provided to Amtelco in
the context of other, separately operated, Amtelco products or services.

If a customer’s personally identifiable information changes,
Amtelco and the eConferenceLink service will endeavor to provide
a method to correct and/or update that customer’s personal
data. eConferenceLink service customers and users also may contact
the Amtelco eConferenceLink administrative staff at info@amtelco.com.
Security of Personal Information
Amtelco is committed to protecting the security of your personal
information. Amtelco uses a variety of security technologies and
procedures to help protect your personal information from unauthorized
access, use, or disclosure. For example, Amtelco and the eConferenceLink service store the personal information you provide on computer
servers with limited access that are located in controlled facilities.
Additionally, when Amtelco and the eConferenceLink service transmit
sensitive personal information (such as a credit card number) over
the Internet, that information is protected by the use of encryption,
such as the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol.
Amtelco and the eConferenceLink service do not disclose your
private, on-line communications. However, what you publish to your
eConferenceLink customer center web site is available to those
whom you authorize to see and use the information. In the event
that you elect not to use any of the Amtelco and the eConferenceLink service’s security access controls, the content that
you publish is available to those in the general public who are
aware of the URL address for your conference.
Links to Other Web Sites
The Amtelco and the eConferenceLink service web sites may contain
links to other web sites. Please be aware that this privacy statement
applies solely to the information collected by Amtelco and the eConferenceLink service. Amtelco and the eConferenceLink service are not responsible
for the privacy practices or the content of other web sites. In
some cases, a customer or a subscriber, on a web site not owned
or operated by Amtelco, may host the eConferenceLink service. In
such cases when the eConferenceLink service is being run on the
subscriber’s or customer’s network, users should visit
the Amtelco eConferenceLink web site in order to review this privacy
policy. Amtelco encourages you to be aware of when you are leaving
the eConferenceLink service web site and to read the privacy statements
of each and every web site that you visit before providing any personal
information.
Changes to the Privacy Statement
Amtelco and the eConferenceLink service may occasionally update
this privacy statement. In such instances, Amtelco will revise the
“last updated” date at the top of this privacy statement.
For material changes to this privacy statement, Amtelco will notify
you either by placing a prominent notice on the home page of its
and/or the eConferenceLink web site or by directly sending you
a notification. Amtelco encourages you to periodically review this
